For many people working in sports is their dream job. Unfortunately, it is one of the toughest industries to break into. The demand for sports related internships is quite high so getting your foot in the door can be extremely difficult.
John is the CEO of Agency Athlete LLC, a full-service sports management firm. John is a certified NFL Agent and Boxing Manager with years of experience. John represents NFL players, professional athletes from a wide range of sports as well as media personalities and sports properties.
John is a noted dealmaker with over 15 years of sports business experience who draws from a diversified background in sports management, marketing, branding, social media, public relations, publishing and licensing.
John is a skillful negotiator and savvy sports marketer that has crafted a variety of innovative deals for his clients. John has negotiated player contracts, sponsorships, endorsements, appearances, memorabilia, licensing and various revenue share agreements. John has been successful in securing a variety of local and national deals.
John has been featured in national media including Money Magazine in April 2016 where he shared salary negotiation tactics for employees and ESPN The Magazine in September 2009 for their "Dream Jobs in Sports" series.
John is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. where he has a BA in Justice. John was also a NCAA Division I wrestler. John interned at The White House, Office of Scheduling and Advance for the President.
John is married with two daughters and currently resides in New York City.
