In this video course we outline proven real-life “Athlete Management and Sports Marketing Strategies.” We share helpful insider tips on how to be successful in this highly competitive business.
Once you become a certified sports agent we answer the key question, what's next?
Most likely the next step will be to setup your own sports agency. So we discuss your agency's branding package, writing your marketing content, developing your recruiting pitch, outlining a recruiting plan, lead generation tips, building an athlete contact database, networking tactics, utilizing scouting services and online advertising.
When you do sign an athlete we outline the intake process that includes an athlete interview to gather all his stats, media and pertinent information as well as developing a highlight reel and creating his marketing package.
We then discuss protecting an athletes' intellectual property by securing a website domain name, all social media profile pages, develop a website and secure available trademarks.
On the athlete management side, we discuss setting budgets for your athlete, documenting client activity, keeping your client updated on all activities and visiting your client at all important events. As well as finding the appropriate training and nutrition programs.
In the professional sports arena, we talk about managing strategic relationships with pro sports personnel and how to build relationships. We also discuss strategies on how to proactively promote your client to pro sports leagues and securing tryout opportunities.
On the marketing side we discuss how to create a brand strategy for your client, leverage his personal interests and develop a target list for potential marketing opportunities.
Then we dive into sports that survive solely on sponsorships and how to identify potential sponsorship assets, develop a sponsorship package and how to pitch your opportunity.
Lastly we discuss public relations strategies including how to develop local and national PR campaigns, develop a media target list, proactive media outreach tips, writing press releases, social media strategies, developing a crisis communication plan and exploring charitable endeavors.
Becoming a sports agent is just the first step in the process. What you do afterwards will determine if you achieve success or failure. We provide a proven roadmap that will save you time, money and cut down on common mistakes when building your own sports agency.
